(Seoul) says it has selected Axens' ParamaX technology package for its second aromatics complex to be built at its Onsan refinery in Korea. The new complex will have capacity to produce 900,000 m.t./year of para-xylene (PX) and 280,000 m.t./year of benzene and will start up in the first half of 2011. The ParamaX technology package will include a naphtha hydrotreating unit, an aromizing facility, Uhde's Morphylane aromatics extraction unit, an Eluxyl PX purification facility, the XyMax C8 aromatics isomerization with ethylbenzene dealkylation...
