Korea Delays Approval of Carbon Trading System

Korea has delayed by at least a month, the approval of a cap-and-trade system to be established by 2015, for cutting carbon emissions, say press reports. The legislative and judiciary committee of Korea’s national assembly may vote on the matter in April. Several details of the bill are yet to be decided, and this led to the bill not being discussed this month.
