CB&I awarded contract by GS Caltex for p-xylene project in Korea

CB&I says that it has been awarded a contract by GS Caltex (Seoul), a joint venture between GS Holdings (Seoul) and Chevron, for the license, basic engineering, and catalyst supply for a new para-xylene (p-xylene) unit to be built at GS Caltex’s Yosu, South Korea, site. The unit will use the BP p-xylene technology, exclusively licensed by CB&I, and will have a world-scale design capacity, CB&I says. The p-xylene unit is expected to start production in 2016.
