BASF Plant Science Signs License Agreement in Korea

BASF Plant Science says it has entered into a license agreement with bio-venture company Genomine (Pohang, South Korea), and the Pohang University of Science and Technology (Postech; Pohang), for the discovery of genes that help maximize yields in staple food and feed crops such as rice and corn. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed. Postech contributes to the agreement with its competencies in early discovery work, and additional competencies in gene discovery will be available through Genomine.
