Albemarle Expanding TMG in Korea

Albemarle says it will expand its production capacity for electronic-grade metal organics at its Yeosu, Korea, facility  to meet growing demand for electronic chemicals in Asia. Financial terms were not disclosed. The investment will expand the site’s capacity for producing high-purity trimethylgallium (TMG), triethylgallium (TEG), and trimethylaluminum (TMA).  These products are used in metal organic chemical vapor deposition, a process used to manufacture chips for semiconductors, LEDs, and optoelectronic devices.   The expansion is...
