SAFC Hitech to form jv with Korean specialty chemicals firm

Sigma-Aldrich says its wholly owned SAFC Hitech subsidiary has signed an agreement to form a 50-50 joint venture with Soulbrain (Songnam, South Korea), a publicly traded specialty chemical company serving the flat-panel display, semiconductor, and electronic materials market. The newly formed jv will serve the Korean market and will focus on developing and commercializing advanced metal organic precursor technologies used in the semiconductor and light-emitting diodes (LEDs) markets.
