Korea Engineering Plastics to Increase Polyacetal Capacity

Mitsubishi Gas Chemical (MGC) says that its Korea Engineering Plastics (KEP; Seoul) affiliate will expand its polyacetal production facility at Ulsan, Korea, to increase its production capacity by 35,000 m.t./year. KEP was established in 1987 and Celanese holds 50% stake in KEP, MGC holds 40%, and Mitsubishi Corp. holds the remaining 10%. KEP began production of polyacetal in 1988 using MGC technology.
