Tosoh Reports Rise in Profits and Sales

Tosoh has recorded a 5.6% increase in net profits for the fiscal first nine months ended December 31, 2011, compared with the year-ago period, to ¥7 billion ($88 million). Sales increased 5.9%, to ¥525 billion. Tosoh, however, says it faced extremely harsh operating conditions during the nine-month period.
