Toray to expand PP spunbond capacity in China

Toray Industries and its Toray Advanced Materials Korea (TAK; Seoul) subsidiary have decided to expand high-performance polypropylene (PP) spunbond production capacity at Nantong, China. A new PP spunbond facility, which has a production capacity of 20,000 m.t./year, will be built at the site of their Toray Polytech Nantong (Nantong) subsidiary. TAK has a 50% stake in Toray Polytech Nantong, Toray has a 40% stake, and Toray Industries China (Shanghai) holds the remaining 10%. The new facility will increase Toray Polytech Nantong’s total PP spunbond capacity...
