Regions :: North Asia :: Japan Toray Restarts Plant in Ayutthaya, Thailand4:38 AM MDT | April 16, 2012 | Deepti Ramesh Toray Industries says that the Ayutthaya, Thailand plant of the company’s Thai Toray Synthetics (TTS; Bangkok) subsidiary, which stopped operating on October 6, 2011 as a result of the floods, started operating partly in March 2012, and it resumed production of all products on April 2. The plant is expected to begin full-scale production by the end of May. The Ayutthaya plant produces nylon yarns for industrial use and polyester yarn for apparels.
