Tokuyama swings to profit

Tokuyama (Tokyo) reports a net profit of ¥10.2 billion ($99.8 million) for the fiscal year ended 31 March compared with a net loss of ¥37.9 billion in the previous fiscal year. Full-year sales increased 11.1%, to ¥287.3 billion. Sales increased despite lower sales volume for polysilicon products and largely because of an increase in sales volume for products such as vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) and higher selling prices for petrochemical products, Tokuyama says.
