Teijin to Expand Nickel-Coated Carbon Fiber Production

Teijin says that its wholly owned subsidiary Toho Tenax (Tokyo), which is involved in the carbon fibers and composites business, will double the production capacity for nickel-coated carbon fiber at its plant at Mishima, Japan, by January 2013. The company has set a sales target of over ¥2 billion ($25 million) for the business in 2013.
