Teijin launches brand for carbon fiber–reinforced thermoplastics

Teijin says it has today launched Sereebo, a new brand for carbon fiber–reinforced thermoplastics (CFRTP), which will be used in green products. The company expects Sereebo to facilitate the development of lighter and smaller-mass-produced products, including automobiles. Sereebo CFRTP composites are made with three intermediate materials developed by Teijin. The company produces the CFRTP by impregnating carbon fiber with thermoplastic resin.
