Teijin appoints new CEO

Teijin announced today that its board of directors has appointed Jun Suzuki, currently executive officer and member of the board, as the next president and CEO of the company, effective 1 April. Shigeo Ohyagi, the current president and CEO, will assume the position of chairman on the same day. Ohyagi has been president and CEO of Teijin since 2008. Suzuki, 55, joined Teijin in 1983, and was appointed as executive officer and member of the board in 2013.
