Regions :: North Asia :: Japan Teijin Forms LIB Separators JV in Korea2:03 AM MST | February 15, 2012 | Deepti Ramesh Teijin says it has established a joint venture in Korea for manufacturing lithium ion secondary batteries (LIBs) separators. The jv with CNF, a major film processor is called Teijin CNF Korea (Asan) and will begin production in June. Teijin tells CW it aims to have a 25% share in the global high-end LIB separator market by 2015. Teijin's annual sales target for its separator business is ¥20 billion ($255 million) by the year 2020.
