Regions :: North Asia :: Japan Sumitomo to Expand Herbicide Capacity2:19 AM MDT | May 30, 2011 | Deepti Ramesh Sumitomo Chemical says it will construct a new production line for its herbicide flumioxazin at the company’s production site at Oita, Japan, to meet rising demand for the product. The new production line is expected to begin operation between July 2012 and September 2012. The expanded production is expected to boost sales of flumioxazin and derivative products by several tens of billions of yen per year, Sumitomo says.
