Sumitomo and German Firm to Collaborate on Alumina and Aluminum Trihydroxide Businesses

Sumitomo Chemical and Nabaltec (Schwandorf, Germany) say they have agreed to collaborate on their alumina and aluminum trihydroxide (ATH) businesses. The collaboration will initially focus on commercial aspects, the companies say. Starting December 1, 2011, Nabaltec supplies Sumitomo an exclusive grade of fine precipitated ATH for sale in East Asia. Sumitomo will continue to explore additional areas of collaboration with Nabaltec, including possible joint developments of new advanced inorganic materials, and will aim to further strengthen their alumina and ATH...
