Regions :: North Asia :: Japan Sumitomo Chemicals to Expand Neat Resin Capacity12:31 PM MDT | October 18, 2007 | CW Editorial Staff Sumitomo Chemicals (Tokyo) says that it will expand its neat resin production capacity for liquid crystal polymer (LCP) from 7,000 m.t./year, to 9,200 m.t/year. The company plans to build a new manufacturing facility in China for producing LCP compounds. LCP is an engineering plastic used in electronic components, and the demand for it is steadily increasing, says Sumitomo Chemicals.
