Some Mitsui Plants Begin Operations; Kashima Plant Offline

Mitsui Chemicals says its Kashima plant continues to be offline. The assessment of damage has been completed and the operation schedule is being decided, the company says. Mitsui is also assessing the effects of the ongoing serious power shortage and is continuing its efforts to reduce the usage of power, the company says.
