Showa Denko to Transfer Industrial Gases Business to Subsidiary

Showa Denko says it will split and transfer its business in air separation gases, compressed hydrogen, carbon dioxide and dry ice, to its wholly owned subsidiary Showa Tansan (Tokyo) effective January 1, 2012.  In October 2011, an absorption-type split agreement will be approved at board meetings of Showa Denko and Showa Tansan and the company split will take effect on January 1, 2012.
