Nippon Shokubai sets targets under new business plan

Nippon Shokubai has announced a new long-term business plan through 2020, along with a shorter term action plan covering the next three years. The company has reconfirmed safety as a priority goal, following the 2012 explosion at its Himeji plant in Japan.     Nippon Shokubai will emphasize acrylic acid and superabsorbent polymers as its main businesses, with ethylene oxide (EO) and other existing operations becoming even stronger than today. In EO, the company says it will change its product portfolio and enter new growth markets.  ...
