Nippon Shokubai restarts acrylic acid facility at Himeji site

Nippon Shokubai says that it has received approval from authorities to restart operations at a few more facilities in the company’s manufacturing complex at Himeji, Japan. Nippon Shokubai had been ordered to suspend operations at all the production facilities at its Himeji complex following the explosion and fire at the site on 29 September 2012. The accident resulted in the death of one firefighter as well as several serious injuries.
