Mitsui’s Kashima Plant to Remain Offline for More than Two Months

Mitsui Chemicals says that its manufacturing site at Kashima in Ibaraki prefecture will remain offline for at least over two months. Operations at the site were suspended following the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan on March 11. “Repair work is underway at some facilities at the site. Following completion of these repairs, a scheduled regular maintenance will be conducted from mid-May to late June.
