Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Enters Lithium Cathode Materials Business with New Plant

Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co., (MES; Tokyo), one of the non-exclusive worldwide sub-licensees of the novel lithium metal phosphate, including lithium iron phosphate (LMP/LFP) technology, says it plans to start a new lithium cathode materials business, beginning with the construction of a 2,000-m.t./year plant, which should start production during fiscal 2012. .
