Mitsui Chemicals restarts hydroquinone plant in Iwakuni-Ohtake site

Mitsui Chemicals says that production has resumed at the hydroquinone plant in the company’s Iwakuni-Ohtake production complex at Waki, Japan. Hydroquinone production stopped at the Iwakuni-Ohtake complex following an explosion at a resorcinol plant at the site in April 2012. The blast killed 1 Mitsui employee and injured 25 people, including 14 local residents.
