Mitsui Chemicals and BASF sign development and license agreement for new insecticide

Mitsui Chemicals Agro (Tokyo), the agrochemical subsidiary of Mitsui Chemicals, and BASF have signed an exclusive global development and license agreement for a new insecticide — Mitsui Chemicals Agro’s MCI-8007. Mitsui Chemicals Agro, under the terms of the agreement, has granted BASF a worldwide, exclusive license to commercialize the new insecticide, except in Japan and some other countries where Mitsui Chemicals Agro will hold the exclusive and/or co-exclusive rights, Mitsui says.
