Mitsubishi Restarts Kashima Cracker

Mitsubishi Chemical says it has today restarted production at the company’s No. 1 naphtha cracker at Kashima. The cracker, which was taken offline due to damage caused by the earthquake and tsunami that struck the northeast of Japan on March 11, has completed a maintenance turnaround. The production facilities for derivatives have also completed a scheduled maintenance and are restarting operations, the company says.
