Mitsubishi Gas Chemical exits coenzyme Q10 business

Mitsubishi Gas Chemical (MGC) says it will stop the manufacture and sale of coenzyme Q10, a material for pharmaceuticals and health food, due to poor profitability of the business. Production at MGC’s 70-m.t./year coenzyme Q10 production facility at Niigata, Japan will be discontinued at the end of March 2013.
