Regions :: North Asia :: Japan Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Restarts Production of BT Resin1:22 AM MDT | May 23, 2011 | Deepti Ramesh Mitsubishi Gas Chemical (MGC) says it has restarted production of bismaleimide triazine resin (BT resin) at Nishishirakawa in Fukushima prefecture, Japan. MGC accounts for an estimated 50% of global capacity for BT resin, used to make semiconductor package substrates. MGC halted operations at the site following the earthquake and tsunami that struck northeastern Japan on March 11. The plant is now operating at full capacity, MGC says.
