Kuraray to Partially Restart Kashima Plant

Kuraray says it is preparing to partially resume production at the company’s facility at Kashima in Ibaraki prefecture by mid-April using raw material inventory available at the plant. Operations at the facility were suspended following the earthquake. The company says it is conducting a detailed inspection of the plants at the Kashima site and has so far not identified any damage to the facility that could cause serious problems in resuming production.
