Kuraray Reports Rise in Profits and Sales

Kuraray reported a 24% rise in net profits for its fiscal first half ended September 30, 2011, compared with the year-ago period, to ¥17.2 billion ($218 million). Sales increased 2.7%, to about ¥185.6 billion.
