Kuraray Records Rise in Profits and Sales

Kuraray reported a 76% rise in net profits for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2011, to ¥28.7 billion ($350 million), compared with the previous fiscal year. Sales increased 9%, to ¥363 billion. The operating environment in the fiscal year saw a recovery in demand for Kuraray group products in Europe and the U.S., as well as strong demand in emerging economies, mainly China, Kuraray says.
