Japanese Firms Post Mixed Results

The top chemical companies in Japan have posted varied results for the nine months ended December 31, 2007. Big names such as Mitsubishi Chemical, Dainippon Ink and Chemicals (DIC), Shin-Etsu Chemicals, and Asahi Kasei recorded improved profits, but others including Sumitomo Chemical and Teijin confirmed a downward trend in their earnings.
