Japan, Thailand Sign Deal for Chemical Management

Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI; Tokyo) says it has signed a memorandum of cooperation (MOC) with Ministry of Industry Thailand (MOI; Bangkok) to strengthen chemical management. The MOC is part of the Asian Sustainable Chemical Safety Plan, which aims to harmonize the various chemical management systems in Asia. METI will assist Thailand in building an effective chemical management system in the country through policy dialogue and technical assistance, METI says.
