Idemitsu and AltaGas form partnership to export Canadian gas to Asia

AltaGas (Calgary, AB) and Idemitsu Kosan (Tokyo) have agreed to form an equally owned partnership, AltaGas Idemitsu Joint Venture, to pursue opportunities involving exports of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Canada to Asia. The partnership plans to pursue opportunities to develop long-term natural gas supply and sales arrangements to meet Asia’s growing demand for natural gas.
