ExxonMobil Affiliate to Expand Halobutyl Rubber Capacity in Japan

ExxonMobil Chemical says that Japan Butyl Co. (Kawasaki, Japan), in which ExxonMobil Yugen Kaisha, an ExxonMobil subsidiary, holds a 50% stake, will expand the capacity of its halobutyl rubber manufacturing plant at Kashima, Japan by 10,000 m.t./year to 80,000 m.t./year. The expansion is expected to be completed in 2012.
