Dow completes conversion of styrofoam XPS plants in Japan to new polymeric flame-retardant technology

Dow Building Solutions, a subsidiary of Dow Chemical, has completed converting its three styrofoam extruded polystyrene (XPS) plants in Japan to new polymeric flame-retardant (FR) technology, the company has announced. Dow Kakoh (Tokyo), a joint venture of Dow Building Solutions, has started producing styrofoam containing the new technology.
