DIC reports rise in profits

DIC (Tokyo) has reported its financial results for the six-month period ended 30 June 2014. DIC decided last year to change its fiscal year-end from 31 March to 31 December, and, as a result, figures for the first half of the previous fiscal year have been adjusted to represent the same accounting period as the first half of the current fiscal year, DIC says. DIC reports a 6.5% rise in net profits for the six months ended 30 June 2014 compared with the six months ended 30 June 2013, to ¥10.31 billion ($100.7 million).
