Bidders Line Up for Arysta

A total of six bidders are rumored to be lining up to buy Arysta Lifescience Corp. (Tokyo), the world’s largest privately held agricultural chemical company, in a deal worth about $2 billion, media reports say. The bidders include Blackstone Group (New York); Nufarm (Laverton, Australia); Rallis India (Mumbai); and United Phosphorus Ltd. (Mumbai), reports say. Rallis and United Phosphorus each declined to comment on the reports. Nufarm says that it regularly evaluates acquisition opportunities, reports say.
