Asahi Kasei appoints new executive president, rejuvenates management

Asahi Kasei Corp. said today that it has appointed Toshio Asano as executive president, to replace Taketsugu Fujiwara, who will serve as vice chairman of the board as of 1 April. The company has also appointed Masahito Hirai, currently executive officer, as vice president executive officer and promoted Yuji Kobayashi from executive officer to primary executive officer/Asahi Kasei Chemicals.
