Asahi Kasei Builds Electronic Materials Plant in China

Asahi Kasei says its Asahi Kasei E-materials (Tokyo) subsidiary has begun construction of a new plant for the production of Sunfort dry film photoresist at Changshu, China. The new plant will have a production capacity of 120 million m2/year, and it is expected to start up in September 2013. Dry film is used to form circuit patterns on printed wiring boards used in PCs and tablet PCs, mobile phones and smartphones, and automotive electronics, Asahi Kasei says.
