Asahi Glass, Adeka, and Kaneka to Exit Chlor-Alkali and VCM Ventures with Shin-Etsu and Mitsubishi

Asahi Glass (Tokyo), Adeka Corp. (Tokyo), and Kaneka (Osaka), plan to exit their two joint ventures with Shin-Etsu Chemical and Mitsubishi Chemical - Kashima Chlorine & Alkali (Kamisu, Japan) and Kashima Vinyl Chloride Monomer (Kamisu). The two jvs will now operate as subsidiaries of Shin-Etsu Chemical. The companies did not disclose the new ownership structure.
