Ajinomoto to Expand Feed Amino Acids Capacity

Ajinomoto (Tokyo) says its Ajinomoto Animal Nutrition Group (AANG; Tokyo) subsidiary plans to expand the animal nutrition business over the next five years, and will expand its production capacity for feed-use amino acids. L-lysine production capacity will be increased by 150,000 m.t./year; L-threonine capacity will be increased by 80,000 m.t./year including through an alliance; and L-tryptophan by 7,000 m.t./year.  No further details of the expansion projects were disclosed.
