Regional ethylene demand trends show increasing shares of consumption in Asia and the rest of the world (ROW), at the expense of Europe and North America, says Ed Gartner, senior manager at IHS (Denver). Global ethylene demand will rise from 123 million m.t. in 2010, to 146 million m.t. in 2015, with the combined share of Asia and ROW rising to 61% from 56% at the expense of Europe and North America, Gartner told delegates at the annual APIC meeting in Fukuoka, Japan today.
