Toray develops high-performance carbon fiber

Toray Industries says that it has developed a high tensile strength and modulus carbon fiber Torayca T1100G and a high-performance prepreg using Torayca T1100G. Applications for carbon fiber have been rapidly expanding in fields such as aerospace and sporting goods, and a further improvement in the performance of carbon fibers is being demanded particularly in high-end applications, Toray says.
