Toray to expand production of packaging film in Asia

Toray Industries says it will make a series of investments in Asia to enhance the ability of the group's vapor deposition facilities for food packaging films. Toray Advanced Film (TAF; Tokyo) will introduce vapor deposition equipment at its plant at Kagamiishi, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, to produce aluminum-metalized polypropylene (PP) film for packaging applications, which will be put into operation in October 2013.
