Acrylic emulsions maker splits off from Saiden Chemical

Saiden Chemical’s (Tokyo) acrylic emulsion polymers subsidiary in the United States has split off from its parent company in a buyout by local management. The new company will be called STI Polymer and will continue to produce and market its acrylic emulsion polymer products. The company consists of one manufacturing facility in Sanford, NC, which opened in 2001. The company will also retain a technical support agreement with Saiden Chemical, providing access to the former parent’s R&D capabilities. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed...
