EU welcomes Wacker deal to resolve polysilicon antidumping spat with China

The European Commission has welcomed Wacker Chemie's agreement with the Ministry of Commerce (Mofcom; Beijing) that has terminated an antidumping and antisubsidy investigation by Mofcom into polysilicon imports by China from the European Union. Wacker announced yesterday that it had made a price undertaking to Mofcom, to resolve the dispute. European exports of polysilicon will not be sold below a specific minimum price in China, and China will not impose antidumping and antisubsidy duties on the imports, under the terms of the agreement.
