EU imposes antidumping duties on solar panels imported from China

The European Commission has, as expected, imposed provisional antidumping duties on imports by the European Union of solar panels, cells, and wafers originating in China. The measures will be introduced in 2 phases, with a duty of 11.8% in force until 6 August, rising to 47.6% from 7 August. A duty of 47.6% is "the level required to remove the harm caused by the dumping to the European industry," the commission says.
