Regions :: North Asia Ashland increases intermediates and specialty solvents prices1:46 PM MDT | March 11, 2013 | Lindsay Frost Ashland announced Friday that it would increase prices for certain intermediates and specialty solvents sold in North America, Asia and Europe—effective 1 April. In North America, prices for 1,4 butanediol and its derivatives tetrahydrofuran, n-methyl-2-pyrrolidone and gamma-butyrolactone will increase by 5 cts/lb. In Asia, the same products will increase by $150/m.t., and in Europe by €100/m.t. ($130), the company says.
